Oh no! They’ve Discovered My Weak Spot…
I have always thought MMORPGs were a waste of time and money. The closest I would come to playing one would be EVE Online, and that’s because it aims specifically for my science fiction obsessions. I got myself hooked on AstroEmpires…for much the same reason, though it’s more strategy-based and doesn’t require a whole lot of time to be put into it in order to succeed.
I believe I commented to someone in a discussion regarding MMORPGs once that I would perhaps be willing to play a MMORTS. RTS is my weakness. I play many RTS games. Age of Empires, Dawn of War, Command and Conquer, Warcraft (not World of…); it matters not the title, it matters the company and the awesomeness.
Regardless, I have discovered that someone has been specifically out to get me. They have been watching me, studying my every move, listening in on my calls, reading my emails and IM transcripts — all to discover that secret: I might play a MMORTS. They not only found my secret, they have exploited it. There is one such game (there may be more, I don’t know and I’m not going to find out). Saga is its name, and sucking up all my cash is its intended game. I must avoid this game at all costs, for I know it will suck me in and never let me go. Gods help me if they make a science-fiction MMORTS. I would be so hopelessly addicted by the end of the first hour playing it, if I even got that far before suffering an unexpected cranial hemorrhage.
This demonic creation may be found at http://www.playsaga.com/. Watch the video, but please, for the love of Pete (I don’t know why Pete, specifically…just take it as it is) don’t get sucked in, or I might have to follow you. Even if I could afford to pay $20 a month for unrestricted gameplay, I couldn’t afford it.
I wish you luck. Be strong. Be prepared.
Regards,
Adrian
